SURREALISMN : BAROQUE: VENICE : OPIUM

 

 

Exhibition and book presentation at the Emily Harvey Foundation, Venezia, 26. Okt. - 9. Nov. 2019, and interventions in the public space of Venice.

During the research of the Baroque Avantgarde in Venice, photo works (posters) were created that visualize the interaction between baroque and opium. In a site-specific installation, a poppy field was planted on an island in the lagoon, because Venice was at this time the main centre of the European Opium trade.
